CHICO, CA--(Marketwire - March 31, 2008) - AmeraMex International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS : AMMX ),
a provider of heavy equipment to shipping, construction, logging and mining
companies, today announced that it has purchased a $1.2 million package of
loaded container handlers for export through its network of international
heavy equipment distributors.
"Our largest customers in the United States are logistic support
companies," said AmeraMex CEO and President Lee Hamre. "When replacing
their container handlers with new EPA Tier III compliant models, we can now
provide an outlet for the used handlers that is financially beneficial to
our customers and provides much needed container handlers to logistics
companies in developing countries that have limited access to quality used
equipment."
The container handlers, which will be completely refurbished at the
company's Chino, California facilities, are used by logistic support
companies for the loading and unloading of containers from ships, trains or
trucks.
According to Hamre, the company expects to have purchase orders for the
refurbished handlers within the next two months.
