Akzo Nobel share buyback program (week 13 of 2008)


Amsterdam, the Netherlands, March 31, 2008 - Akzo Nobel (Euronext Amsterdam: AKZ) has announced that, in line with the launch of its EUR 1 billion share buyback program on March 17, 2008, the company has repurchased 390,000 ordinary shares in the period March 25 until March 28, 2008. Shares were repurchased at an average price of EUR 51.22.
 
The EUR 1 billion program is the first tranche of a EUR 3 billion share buyback program.

The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 790,000 ordinary shares for a total consideration of EUR 40.3 million.
