MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - April 1, 2008) - Data Robotics, the makers of Drobo, the
world's first storage robot, today announced it has expanded its support
operations to 14 countries in Europe through a partnership with
IsoTech-Service GmbH & Co KG (ITS.) A direct result of customer and partner
demand, this expansion validates the company's commitment to providing a
truly unique storage experience for every user -- regardless of geographic
location or language.
"This announcement shows that we care about our customers' data and partner
with some of the most successful companies in the industry to support
them," said Geoff Barrall, CEO and co-founder of Data Robotics. "The
industry recognition that Drobo has received since launching has created an
overwhelming amount of global interest -- and has generated a user base
that is growing rapidly by the day. We are doing everything we can to keep
pace with demand while continuing to achieve the highest levels of customer
satisfaction attainable."
In addition to the United States and Canada, Drobo and DroboShare customers
can now receive localized support in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France,
Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. ITS' extensive capabilities include
support in 19 languages, in-country support phone numbers, and in-country
mailing addresses for advance product exchange and depot repair.
"ITS covers 28 countries, meaning Data Robotics can easily expand support
operations as demand and distribution numbers increase," said Thomas
Blasius, President of ITS. "This partnership will fuel Data Robotics'
international expansion with the newfound ability to leverage an
increasingly large network of distributors, value-added resellers and
partners."
Since the launch of Drobo last year, and the January 14, 2008 release of
DroboShare, the company has gained a loyal following of customers and
enthusiasts who have embraced it as the easiest-to-use, most expandable and
safest multi-drive desktop storage array available. Drobo takes a step
beyond data storage options widely available today by adding a layer of
intelligence and configurability to simplify operations and give users more
control of their digital assets.
International support is offered to all customers under a 2-Year Limited
Warranty Monday-Friday 9:00 through 17:00 CET, excluding holidays. Support
phone numbers for each supported country can be found at
