AtHoc's Net-Centric Emergency Notification Solution Integrated Into the Newly Launched Cisco Open Platform for Safety and Security That Serves the Government Sector

Cisco Open Platform for Safety and Security incorporates a variety of Cisco and partners' technologies into a common architecture. It includes Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Video Surveillance Manager, Cisco's IP Interoperability and Collaboration System (IPICS), AtHoc IWSAlerts for IP-based mass notification, as well as other technologies for sensor integration and management and video analytics. All of the technologies are enabled over a converged IP infrastructure and provide interoperability using industry open standards.

AtHoc will work within the platform as the IP-based enterprise mass notification solution. When emergency situations are activated, whether manually by emergency operators, or automatically by security sensors, AtHoc IWSAlerts will manage the mass notification process from alert activation to recipient tracking and reporting. With its unified alert management capabilities, it will leverage the IP-network and Cisco infrastructure to deliver targeted and personalized alerts to personnel via computer desktops, mobile devices, telephones, public address systems as well as any other IP-enabled notification device. Alerts can be delivered to thousands of personnel across all communication channels within minutes.
