Delta's Food for Purchase Options Now Serving Customers On More Than 500 Flights Throughout the United States and Select Caribbean and Latin American Beach Destinations

Expanded EATS Program with Todd English selections now available on flights of 1,025 miles or more


ATLANTA, April 1, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Based on customer demand, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is expanding its popular food for sale program, EATS, to all flights within the United States of 750 miles or more (approximately one and a half hours or more) beginning April 1. EATS will also be featured on select flights between the United States and beach destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America of 1,550 miles or more (approximately three and one half hours or more).

To complement the popular fruit and cheese plate, Kashi cereal with fresh fruit and cinnamon raisin bagel offered on the EATS menu, Delta introduced new selections from celebrity chef Todd English in March including the following brunch, lunch and dinner offerings:



 --  Chicken Parmesan Sandwich: Parmesan breaded chicken breast,
     marinated mozzarella slices, basil pesto with parsley, and tomato
     sauce on a rosemary ciabatta roll for $8 each;

 --  Chicken Bistro Salad: Pulled chicken breast, Earthbound Farm(r)
     baby spinach leaves, diced bacon, thinly sliced red onion, black
     beluga lentils with goat cheese crostini, red wine vinaigrette
     dressing for $8 each; and

 --  Hummus with Veggies: hummus with marinated chick peas, pita chips
     spread with olive tapinade complemented by carrot and celery
     sticks, radish wedges and a pepperoncini pepper for $7 each.

Limited selections from Delta's EATS menu will be offered on flights beginning at 750 miles, and a full menu will be offered on flights of 1,025 miles or more (approximately two hours or more).

Additionally beginning May 1, Delta's EATS menu will feature XXX and Power C flavors of vitaminwater(r) from Glaceau in 20-ounce bottles for $3 each. For ease of payment, Delta customers now can use credit cards for the purchase of any food, beverage, and headsets where offered onboard.

New beach destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America to offer EATS selections include: Antigua; Barbados; Bonnaire; Liberia, Costa Rica; Cancun, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas; St. Martin; St. Lucia; and San Juan, Puerto Rico (from New York - JFK).

Delta launched its food for purchase menu in September 2007 on coast-to-coast mainline flights between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. Today, the EATS menu is available on almost every Delta flight within the 48 contiguous United States of at least one and a half hours. Customers continue to receive complimentary snacks on all flights of more than 250 miles on Delta and Delta Connection carrier flights.
