Boomi to Participate in SaaS and Cloud Computing Panel at Software 2008 to Discuss On-Demand Integration
Panel Will Discuss New Trends in SaaS Integration That Impact SaaS Adoption as Well as Promote Mash-Ups, Composite Applications and Web Services

BERWYN, PA--(Marketwire - April 22, 2008) - Boomi, the market and technology leader for
on-demand integration, today announced that Rick Nucci, Boomi's co-founder
and CTO, will participate in a panel discussion on software-as-a-service
(SaaS) integration at Software 2008 on Wednesday, April 30 in Las Vegas.
Co-located with INTEROP, Software 2008 showcases how software can
contribute to the overall enterprise strategy. The panel discussion is
included in the SaaS and cloud computing track which looks at the
challenges of provisioning applications with on-demand infrastructures, and
examines the use of on-demand software applications. Moderated by OpSource,
the panel titled "Think Outside the Box: The End of Standalone SaaS" will
discuss platform choices that enable mash-ups and composite applications,
discuss how Web services affect application development and integration,
and how to integrate a wide variety of SaaS and legacy applications.
"The acceptance and popularity of SaaS applications has continued to rise
at a dramatic pace, yet integration has been a major stumbling block in the
SaaS industry," explained Rick Nucci, Boomi's co-founder and CTO. "While
solutions exist to replicate data between a limited number of SaaS
applications and on-premise databases, the Boomi On Demand offering is the
first complete integration solution delivered in an on-demand model. Boomi
has accelerated the adoption of SaaS by eliminating the time, cost and
complexity associated with traditional on-premise integration software
packages and hardware appliances."
Using Boomi On Demand, users can securely build, deploy and manage
integrations using only a Web browser. Integrations are built visually with
familiar point-and-click, drag-and-drop ease. No coding is required, and
users pay only for the connections they create.
Once integration processes are built, they are deployed via a lightweight,
dynamic runtime engine called an "Atom(SM)." Built with patent pending
technology, Boomi Atoms contain all the components required to execute an
integration process from end-to-end, including connectors, transformation
rules, decision handling and processing logic. They can be hosted for
SaaS-to-SaaS integration or downloaded behind a company's firewall for SaaS
to on-premise integration.
