NCC to modernize Hageby Centrum in Norrköping

NCC Construction has been commissioned by Steen & Ström Sverige AB to modernize
Hageby Centrum in Norrköping. The order is worth approximately SEK 860 million
and will be implemented as a partnering project. 

Construction has already started and, when the expansion project has been
completed in the summer of 2010, Hageby Centrum will be one of the largest and
most modern shopping centers in Östergötland, with about 100 stores, which will
be double the current number.

In total, the project comprises approximately 75,000 square meters of floor
space, of which 40,000 square meters will be newly built retail and parking
space and some 35,000 square meters will be refurbished space at the current
shopping center. Including the indoor car park, with about 450 parking spaces,
the total order is worth approximately SEK 860 million. At most, about 300
employees will be engaged in the project.

Modernization of the shopping center will represent renewal and a facelift for
the Hageby urban district, which was originally built in the 1960s.

of time that Steen & Ström has commissioned us to build and develop. We are

Partnering is a structured cooperation format applied in the construction
industry, whereby the developer, consultants and contractors jointly resolve
construction assignments through open and trusting cooperation in which each
party contributes complementary professional knowledge throughout all stages of
the project.

The contract will be registered among orders during the second quarter of 2008.
