Telenor Satellite Broadcasting selects Net Insight for upgrade of terrestrial multi-service media network

Stockholm, Sweden - Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient
optical transport solutions for media, broadcast and IP networks
today announced a new order from Telenor Satellite Broadcasting
(TSBc) for an upgrade of their Nimbra-based multi service network.

TSBc's multi-service network is a flexible core terrestrial network,
interconnecting all of their major satellite uplink stations in
Europe. The network was established in 2005 and is currently based on
Net Insight's Nimbra platform, providing enhanced scalability,
redundancy and flexibility for the delivery of media services like
TV, radio and data. The network is now being upgraded to the
high-capacity Nimbra 680 switch at a number of sites to extend the
capacity."The upgrade of our terrestrial multi service network allows Telenor
Satellite Broadcasting to extend its current capacity, in order to
continue to provide a flexible vehicle for the seemless integration
