PÖYRY GROUP AWARDED ENGINEERING & INSTALLATION CONTRACT IN AUSTRIA
 
Pöyry has been commissioned an engineering & installation contract for the new national control centre of the Austrian transmission network by Verbund Austrian Power Grid, Austria. The value of the assignment is about EUR 2.4 million.
 
The project site is situated in Vienna. The new control centre enables Verbund to operate the transmission grid in an efficient and state-of-the art manner. Pöyry's assignment includes engineering services, detail design, installation and construction management of all AC/DC supply components, control equipment, cabling of all station-service transformers, diesel generators, batteries, rectifiers and distribution boards. Project includes commissioning and deliveries of as-built documentation and will continue until 2009.
