SCANFIL PLC'S PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT TO SELL OULU PLANT FACILITIES HAS ENDED     
WITHOUT FINAL CONTRACT                                                          

Preliminary agreement announced by Scanfil plc on 10 April 2008 has ended       
without final contract. Scanfil plc will continue active efforts to sell or     
lease the Oulu facilities for industrial or commercial use. The appealed change 
in town plan is legally valid as of 27 June 2008 and also space-taking commerce 
is added as a possible use of property.
