Lysaker, 16 July 2008 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Full capacity on the Skagerrak connectors to Denmark The Skagerrak 3 connector between South Norway and Jylland was back in full operation Friday in week 28. The cable is one of three connecting Norway and Denmark, and it has been out since August last year. The cable amounts for little under half of the total exchange capacity between Norway and Denmark. There were exports from Norway to Denmark in all hours of week 28, as it was in the week before. Total exports were 137 GWh. For the 25th week in a row, prices in the South of Norway were lower than in all the other Nordic elspot areas. The average price in South Norway was 28 øre/kWh, while it was 55 øre/kWh in Jylland. I the middle and north of Norway the weekly average was 48 and 45 øre/kWh respectively. The level of water in the Norwegian reservoirs increased by 2.3 percentage points during week 28, and was 80.8 percent by the end of the week.
