To help mark its partnership with Virgin Galactic, the world's first commercial space-line, Virgin America is inviting guests to blast off to their favorite destination for fares that are truly out of this world.
Earlier this week, one of the newest additions to Virgin America's fleet -- an Airbus A320 named My Other Ride is a Spaceship -- brought guests to the Mojave Desert for the world premiere roll-out of the spaceship launch vehicle -- the WhiteKnightTwo (WK2). The two companies also kicked off the "Race for Space," in which Virgin America Elevate loyalty program members can compete to fly their way to a seat on a sub-orbital space flight.

*All Main Cabin fares are one way. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets must be purchased by 08/7/08. Travel must either commence on or after 09/2/08 and be completed by 12/17/08. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday travel only. Blackout dates 11/26/08, 11/29/08, 11/30/08 and 12/01/08. JFK-LAS service begins 09/04/08. Changes or cancellations can be made for a $75 fee, plus any increase in fare if applicable. Tickets purchased from Virgin America through our reservation call centers will cost an additional $10 per guest per itinerary. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Fares, routes, fees and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares do not include Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9 each way, September 11th Security Fees of up to $5 each way and a Federal Segment Tax of $3.50 per domestic segment.
