WHAT: Nominations for the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement
Awards, which honor the achievements of
individuals and companies in the 3G CDMA industry,
are now being accepted by the CDMA Development
Group (CDG) at
http://www.cdg.org/news/events/awards/awards.asp.
Nominations for the awards are open to the public.
3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards candidates can
be nominated for the following categories:
- Industry Leadership
- Operator Leadership
- Subscriber Technology Innovation
- Network Technology Innovation
There is also a write-in category to propose an
original award.
The CDG will also present Consumer Awards in
partnership with the Mobile Entertainment Forum
(MEF) (www.m-e-f.org) for the following
categories:
- Innovation in Consumer Entertainment Services
- Innovation in Consumer Entertainment Services
Development
WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a trade association
formed to foster the worldwide development,
implementation and use of CDMA technologies. The
more than 130 member companies of the CDG include
many of the world's largest wireless carriers and
equipment manufacturers. The primary activities of
the CDG include development of CDMA features and
services, public relations, education and
seminars, regulatory affairs and international
support. Currently, there are more than 500
individuals working within various CDG
subcommittees on CDMA-related matters.

WHEN: The deadline for nominations is Wednesday,
September 10.
WHERE: The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be
presented by the CDG at a presentation ceremony on
Wednesday evening, October 15, during the Mobility
World Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
