TurnHere Announces Appointment of New CEO

New Executives to Drive Continued Online Video Adoption


EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwire - August 6, 2008) - TurnHere, Inc., the rapidly growing online video solutions platform, today announced the appointment of Bud Rosenthal as CEO of the company. As the demand for high-quality and cost-effective online video grows, TurnHere is setting the pace with innovative new products and solutions that meet the needs of businesses in a range of industries including small business, local, publishing and real estate.

Rosenthal has 20 years of experience providing online solutions to small and medium-sized businesses including senior roles as vice president at both Yahoo! Small Business Services and Real Networks Rhapsody music division. Rosenthal's experience in developing national and worldwide business partnerships will help TurnHere broaden its product suite and expand its online video advertising business.

Rosenthal served as a founder of BigStep.com, was as an Entrepreneur in Residence with Charles River Ventures and holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Most recently, Rosenthal was the CEO of WorkMetro, the Bessemer Ventures-backed online job board which was sold in February to Jobing.com.

TurnHere also announced the promotion of John McWeeny from senior vice president, business development to COO. As the first TurnHere employee, McWeeny helped build TurnHere into the leading online video production company.

TurnHere works with a range of industries including publishing, local, travel, real estate, legal, retail and financial services since its launch in January of 2006. TurnHere customers include YELLOWPAGES.COM, Chronicle Books, Superpages.com, CondéNet, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Simon & Schuster. The company recently received $7.5M in financing from Venrock and Hearst Interactive Media. Initial funding was provided by Bradley Inman, William Randolph Hearst III and Ron Conway. Inman will remain an active driver of long-term strategic goals for the company as chairman.
