MEREDITH, NH--(Marketwire - August 7, 2008) - Maintenance software developer Smartware
Group's Bigfoot maintenance software recently received the top user rating
in Plant Services magazine's 2008 review of computerized maintenance
management software (CMMS) packages.
Plant Services ranked software in two categories: "essential
functionality" and "full functionality." Bigfoot was the top-ranked
software in the "essential" category. The category covered sixteen
vendors, including the best-known CMMS providers.
The magazine's flexible scoring system allowed visitors to its site to
adjust the priorities and weightings according to their specific needs.
"Plant Services Annual CMMS Review is considered the go-to place to
evaluate CMMS vendors. Getting to the top of the list is a great
validation and vote of confidence from our 1,100-plus customers," said Paul
Lachance, Chief Technology Officer.
Plant Services, a well-known industry publication and website, covers
topics ranging from asset management and equipment repair to plant
operations. It has published its annual review for more than 20 years.
"We've always offered a streamlined, affordable and easy-to-use product
that also includes essential power-user features, and that's a key reason
it got the top rating," said Lachance.
