Market Acceptance of SaaS-Based CPM Suites Increasing as Host Analytics Gains Momentum

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - August 19, 2008) - Host Analytics, a leader in on-demand financial and corporate performance management
(CPM), today announced it has been referenced in two recent Gartner
reports: "SaaS Impact in Corporate Performance Management" (14 July 2008,
Neil Chandler) and "Hype Cycle for Software as a Service, 2008" (9 July
2008, Nigel Rayner et al.). In its SaaS report, Host Analytics is
identified as a leading provider in terms of market adoption.(1)
According to the Hype Cycle report, "CPM applications are more suited to
SaaS deployments than core financial applications, because these often
start as smaller implementations specific to certain business pain points
and then expand as the organization's CPM use matures, which is attracting
other vendors to the space." The report also states, "SaaS CPM
applications are increasing their credibility in the market and should be
weighed against traditionally delivered solutions according to their fit
with business requirements."
Software as a Service is expanding into CPM just as Host Analytics is
ramping up. In May, Host Analytics launched version 8.0 of its on-demand
CPM suite, a comprehensive set of financial reporting, consolidation,
budgeting and forecasting solutions that overpower other SaaS vendors and,
due to the SaaS model, are more accommodating and cost-effective than
similar on-premises products. Also this summer, Host Analytics was named
to JMP Securities' Hot 100 list; a financing round was closed; and SaaS and
business intelligence veterans from Oracle and Hyperion, Jon Kondo and Gary
Damiano were appointed CEO and CMO, respectively.
"We are hitting the market with great people, products and passion at
exactly the right time," said Kondo. "A critical need for operational
planning and corporate compliance, coupled with ever-more complex business
requirements and increased SaaS acceptance, is driving demand for CPM in
the mid-market, Global 2000 and public sectors. Host Analytics is
responding with an integrated solution that aligns planning processes with
business strategies, and measure corporate performance in such a way that
finance executives and line-of-business managers can manage for change."
