ELIZABETH CITY, N.C., Aug. 20, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gateway Bank (Nasdaq:GBTS) is offering Triangle-area customers the chance to make an environmentally sound banking decision by participating in their "Go Green" campaign. The campaign, which began on August 4 and continues through August 29, gives customers a Gateway Bank "Go Green" shopping bag when they open a new checking account. Continuing the theme, the bank is asking people to bring "green" beans and other canned goods to the bank's Triangle-area offices during the campaign. The food will be donated to the Food Bank of North Carolina.
