OMAHA, Neb., Aug. 22, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- What do you do when you are torn between two conflicting directions? You mind tells you one thing, but your heart says something else. We all go through some sort conflict in our lives, but maybe nothing as drastic as in the main character of Patrick Wiley's new novel Remembrance of a Shadow, released through Xlibris.
Remembrance of a Shadow starts in the 1350s, the beginning of the Inquisition. Christamos is an orphaned half-vampire-and-human mix, raised to live in the worlds of both mortal and immortal, but destined to become a full-blooded immortal. He suffers through the loss of his first love while being set up in a prearranged marriage by his adoptive parents during a civil war in his coven. On a journey to Rome for a gathering, Christamos confronts his long-lost father, Malevolence -- a ruthless vampire master who manipulates the Inquisition for his own needs. He is then tricked by the wicked priest to return to his homeland where he finally learns of the truth behind the humble holy man and his own family's past....
It is a story full of action, love, and betrayal as Christamos chooses his own fate and place in the two different worlds. Get a copy now! Available through www.Xlibris.com.
