BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 28, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:OPNT), a leading provider of solutions for managing networks and applications, today announced that there are approximately 1,800 participants in its annual technology conference, OPNETWORK(r) 2008. This is the 12th edition of the event, which focuses on managing network and application performance.

The event is being held August 25 - 29 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. The conference will feature over 775 hours of sessions covering a wide range of topics including application performance management; network planning, engineering, and operations; and network R&D.
