Cellular Specialties Makes Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies List for Second Straight Year
Worldwide, In-Building Wireless and Data Coverage Solutions Propel CSI to 83 Percent Growth
| Source: Cellular Specialties, Inc.
MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - August 28, 2008) - Cellular Specialties, Inc. (CSI), a
recognized leader in the design and implementation of in-building
wireless solutions, today announced that Inc. Magazine has ranked the
company #3,742 on its annual listing of the 5000 Fastest-Growing Private
Companies in America. The 5000 companies that made the list reported
aggregate revenue of $185 billion. The 2008 Inc. 5000 companies were also
engines of job growth, having created more than 826,033 jobs since those
companies were founded.
R. Bruce Wilson, CSI's President and CEO, explains the unique business
problems his company addresses and the reason for its notable growth: "More
than 80 percent of all cell phone calls are made from inside a building.
New building design elements however, often reduce signal penetration,
preventing wireless voice and data services from operating optimally. CSI
addresses this problem with expert, in-building products and services that
facilitate cell coverage and optimize data throughput. We are proud that
Inc. has recognized CSI's work and honored us among the fastest growing
companies in the nation."
CSI's (product
division) digital repeaters are the approved products of choice by the
nation's largest wireless carriers and represent innovative,
state-of-the-art in digital repeater technology. CSI's Custom
Solutions Group (CSG) is the only in-building wireless service
organization approved by all major U.S wireless service providers and has
implemented thousands of turnkey solutions solving voice, data, WiFi, RFID
and other wireless challenges across the country.
"Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in
business journalism," said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "The Inc.
5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across
all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models,
as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."
Inc.'s prestigious list is a comprehensive look at the most important
segment of the economy -- America's independent-minded entrepreneurs.
Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S.
economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and
a list of the fastest-growing companies that can be sorted by industry and
region can be found at www.inc5000.com.
Methodology
The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To
qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit,
independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of
December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and
$2 million in 2007.
