SOMERSET, PA.--(Marketwire - September 8, 2008) - FTCA Inc., formerly known as Fleetwood Folding
Trailers, today announced that it will debut its 2009 line of Coleman®
Camping Trailers at the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Show in Hershey, Pa.,
Sept. 10-14. (Booth #540W).
"Today, people yearning to travel and experience the great outdoors are
looking for affordable, enjoyable and environmentally friendly ways to do
so," said Dana Gehman, FTCA Product Development & Marketing Manager. "The
Pennsylvania RV and Camping Show is a great opportunity to see what the new
Coleman Camping Trailers have to offer."
Results of a recent study commissioned by the RVIA show that RV vacations
cost less and create a smaller carbon footprint than fly/drive/hotel
vacations. With the high cost of energy, environmental awareness means not
only conserving natural resources but also personal finances; so many
consumers are trading their SUVs for more fuel-efficient smaller vehicles.
"People who enjoy camping tend to be environmentally aware, and Coleman
Camping Trailers are compatible with environmentally responsible camping
because they're designed for self-contained use in naturally secluded,
low-environmental-impact campsites," continued Gehman.
The 2009 line of Coleman Camping Trailers includes 18 models designed to
suit most every tow vehicle, lifestyle and budget. Nine of the new Coleman
Camping Trailers will be on display at the Pennsylvania RV and Camping
Show. They represent the most popular models, including the lightweight
(1,270 pounds UVW) small car compatible Cobalt; the popular Highlander®
series Niagara, the easy and economical to tow and stow travel trailer
alternative; and the energetic off-road toy hauler Evolution® Series E3.
About FTCA, Inc.
Founded in 1966, FTCA originated as a division of The Coleman Company, Inc.
to manufacture folding camping trailers, with the first trailers rolling
off the assembly line in 1967. In 1979 the company attained market share
leadership and has never relinquished the position. Fleetwood Enterprises
Inc. acquired the division in 1989 to augment its position in the RV
industry. As Fleetwood Folding Trailers, Inc., the division continued its
heritage of producing innovative high quality camping trailers, and with
its customer satisfaction focused dealer network achieved new market share
heights. Today, FTCA designs, manufactures and distributes its folding
camping trailers, such as the Destiny®, Americana®, Highlander® and
Evolution® model lines, from its facility in Somerset, Pa., through a
network of independent RV dealers around the world.
