U.S. RE Names Nicolini Senior Vice President

PEARL RIVER, NY--(Marketwire - September 22, 2008) - Riccardo Nicolini has been appointed Senior Vice President of U.S. RE Corporation, the international reinsurance brokerage firm, Tal P. Piccione, Chairman and CEO, announced.

Nicolini was a long-time senior executive of Assicurazioni Generali, Italy's leading international insurance company. He joined U.S. RE recently as Senior Consultant on worldwide reinsurance brokerage. At The Generali, Nicolini was responsible for international business development in insurance and reinsurance.

As Senior Vice President, Riccardo will be directly involved in the expansion of U.S. RE's growing activities in various sectors of the world.

U.S. RE Corporation is one of the largest reinsurance brokerage firms with international operations. Nicolini came to U.S. RE from Arch Re where he served for four years as General Manager of the European Representative Office in Trieste, Italy. He served for 39 years with The Generali, rising from an entry level position in accounting and administration to President of Generali USA, a post he held from 1984 to 2000.
