Nelson Named SVP-U.S. RE Securities

PEARL RIVER, NY--(Marketwire - September 24, 2008) - Gregory D. Nelson has been named Senior Vice President-U.S. RE Securities, LLC, the investment banking arm of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., Peter Rawlings, U.S. RE Securities Chairman, announced.

Nelson had previously been serving as a senior consultant to U.S. RE Securities, a FINRA-registered broker dealer, specializing in insurance related mergers / acquisitions, valuation and strategic advisory services, private debt and equity capital raising activities, and risk securitizations.

Prior to joining U.S. RE Securities, Nelson worked in the Financial Institutions Group of Banc of America Securities, LLC, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising assignments for insurance industry clients. Before joining Banc of America Securities, he gained substantial insurance and generalist investment banking experience with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. and Bear Stearns & Co. Earlier in his career, he held insurance industry positions in corporate finance / accounting with Allstate Insurance Company and Radian Group, Inc.

Nelson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
