HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - September 29, 2008) - Command Information, the premier provider of
next generation network services, today announced the appointment of Jeremy
Duncan as Director of IPv6 Products and Services. A former U.S. Marine
Corps Captain, Duncan will provide strategic direction and insight to
expand Command Information's service offerings in two key focus areas --
the Communications Provider market and Defense Information Systems Agency
(DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification process.
"Command Information is uniquely positioned to assist companies with the
migration to the next generation Internet, and the testing and validation
of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) products/services is a core part of
our business," said Jerry Edgerton, CEO of Command Information. "IPv6 is
now a main component in the DISA JITC test process and should be a key
focus for companies that want to continue to do business with the federal
government, specifically the Department of Defense. As experts in this
field, we can add significant value in these areas. The addition of Jeremy
Duncan to the team only strengthens our expertise. We welcome him aboard."
Prior to joining Command Information, Duncan served as a Systems Analyst
for ManTech Telecommunication & Information Systems Corporation. In this
role, he coordinated the successful test, evaluation, and certification of
over 30 Information Technology (IT) products a year for IPv6 capability.
Duncan served as a U.S. Marine Corps Communications Officer for seven
years, most recently as a Systems Analyst and Advanced Internet Protocol
Technology Testing Officer at the JITC in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. There he
supervised over 20 Joint Interoperability Certification Tests for critical
U.S. Marine, Army, Navy, and Air Force command, control, communication, and
computer systems.
"I have a passion for helping to develop the next generation Internet and
furthering IPv6 capabilities," said Duncan. "Command Information is
clearly the leader in this space. I look forward to leveraging my
extensive IPv6 and military backgrounds to help our customers expand their
capabilities, as well as enable the products they provide to the government
market for the next generation of IP."
Duncan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the
University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Master of Science degree in
Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
