Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On October 01, 2008, FINANCIERE DE L'ECHIQUIER, Paris, France, has informed
us according to sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting
Rights on Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG, Kirkel, Germany,
ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, have fallen below the 3% limit of the
Voting Rights on September 30, 2008, and now amount to 2.4678% (this
corresponds to 1,431,350 Voting Rights).

According to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 No. 6 of the WpHG, 0.01% of the Voting
Rights (this corresponds to 5,250 Voting Rights) are to be attributed to
the company.
