PONSSE TO START NEGOTIATIONS TO ADJUST OPERATIONS TO MARKET SITUATION Due to the decrease in demand for forestry equipment and the weakening economic outlook, Ponsse Plc has started negotiations with personnel about possible adjustments of operations to the prevailing market situation and the possible temporary lay-offs. The negotiations will concern all employee groups and all functions except for product development, sales and service operations. The total number of employees possibly affected is 320 workers and 125 clerical employees. The negotiations will start on 17 October 2008.
