The Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Minister of
Finance, 11016 Berlin, informed according to Section 21, Article 1 of the
WpHG as follows:

On October 24, 2008, the Voting Rights of the Federal Republic of Germany
on IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG exceeded the thresholds of 50 % and 75 %
and at that day amounted to 90.81 % (531,314,238 Voting Rights). According
to Section 22, Article 1, No. 1 of the WpHG 90.81 % (531,314,238 Voting
Rights) of these Voting Rights are to be attributed to the Federal Republic
of Germany.

In this respect, the Voting Rights attributed to the Federal Republic of
Germany are held by the following companies, in the sense of Section 17,
Article 2, Sentence 1, No. 2 of the WpAIV:

  - Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau

  - KfW Beteiligungsholding GmbH
