NEOMARKKA´S SUBSIDIARY REKA CABLES LTD TO START CO-OPERATION NEGOTIATIONS 

Neomarkka Plc´s subsidiary Reka Cables Ltd will start the co-operation
negotiations concerning factories in Hyvinkää and in Keuruu on November 11th,
2008. The negotiations will be started due to the fluctuation of the demand in
underground and installation cables. The factory in Riihimäki is not part of
the negotiations. 

Reka Cables Ltd has continued its growth both in Finland and in export markets.
The demand of the cables is however sensitive to periodic fluctuation. Due to
the lower demand during the winter time Reka Cables Ltd will start the
co-operation negotiations concerning factories in Hyvinkää and in Keuruu. 

The negotiations will concern around 120 employees. More detailed need for
lay-offs and length of lay-offs will be specified during the negotiations. 

The possible lay-offs will be hold mainly during the winter time. The
co-operation negotiations will start on November 11th, 2008 and possible
adjustments will start earliest on December 3rd, 2008.
