TASER XREP Honored With 2008 Innovation Award During the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in San Diego

(Nasdaq:TASR), the market leader in advanced electronic control devices, today announced that TASER(r)XREP(tm) was honored with the 2008 Innovation Award in the category of Less-Lethal technology during the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) annual conference in San Diego.

The TASER eXtended Range Electronic Projectile or XREP is a self-contained wireless projectile that deploys from a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. It delivers Neuromuscular Incapacitation (NMI) similar to TASER International's flagship handheld TASER(r) X26(tm) Electronic Control Device (ECD), but does so wirelessly from a distance of up to 75 feet (22.5 meters). The XREP has completed initial field tests and will be available for purchase during the first quarter 2009.
