St. Bernard's iPrism Safeguards US Tennis Association Networks Against Online Gambling During the US Open
Feature-Rich Appliance Provides Active Directory Integration and Valuable Granular Reporting Function

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - November 17, 2008) - St. Bernard Software, Inc. (OTCBB : SBSW ), a
leader in Web security appliances, today announced that the US Tennis
Association (USTA), the organization that coordinates the US Open,
successfully deployed its iPrism Web Filter at this year's event. The USTA
selected St. Bernard for its in-depth, detailed reporting capabilities and
Active Directory integration.
The USTA implemented iPrism at its two on-site US Open locations, which
offered Internet access and valuable resources. One specifically serves as
a reporting hub for over 600 visiting media contacts from all over the
world. The organization also houses iPrism at its headquarters in White
Plains, NY.
In response to an ongoing review of anti-gambling policies and procedures,
the USTA mandated that a solution be put in place to detect and monitor
potential gambling activity during the event. Specifically, the USTA wanted
to block access to online gambling sites to prevent online betting and
further preserve the integrity of the sport.
In addition, the organization values iPrism's integration with Active
Directory, as it allows clients to make specific override requests for
authorization without third-party involvement. This saves administrator
time and resources, eradicating day-to-day management of the solution by
providing flexible policy management and delegation of privileges for other
users.
"iPrism provides us with efficient Internet filtering and safeguards our
organization from potential liabilities of unmonitored Web surfing," said
Larry Bonfante, chief information officer at USTA. "iPrism's ability to
quickly change rule sets alone has saved us at least four hours a week in
manual administration and increased productivity across the organization
overall, which is something we didn't find with other solutions."
"Like many of our customers, the USTA's primary objective was to filter
inappropriate content for its users. Their situation was especially unique
because they had to deliver results under a high degree of public attention
and scrutiny," said Steve Yin, vice president of global sales and marketing
at St. Bernard. "The combination of our high-performance appliance with our
100% human-reviewed iGuard URL database allows for the most reliable,
efficient and accurate management and enforcement of their Acceptable Use
Policy."
The USTA also takes advantage of iPrism's robust reporting to view and
record all online Web activities by categories, specific users or
workstations. The product's detailed, drill-down reports help the
organization manage users and also provide valuable data back to its human
resources or legal departments.
