AMREL Announces Another Industry First at AeroTest America -- Low-Profile Loads (LPL) up to 800W in a 1U Height Package
| Source: AMREL/AMERICAN RELIANCE
FORT WORTH, TX--(Marketwire - November 18, 2008) - AMREL announces the release of another
INDUSTRY FIRST at AeroTest America -- AMREL's eLoad line of Programmable
Electronic Loads has expanded its LPL Series to include up to 800W in a 1U
Height package.
Rack space is a highly sought after asset. ATE Test Systems are increasing
in complexity, requiring additional pieces of equipment and consequently
more space. Traditional modular loads require at least 3U (5.25") of rack
space, additional mainframe cost and are typically limited to below a 300
Watt Rating. AMREL's customers demanded a smaller sized, higher powered dc
electronic load, and AMREL delivered. In AMREL's usual customer-driven
fashion, their customers' demands were met by pushing the power-density
envelope with up to 800 Watts in a slim 1U (1.75") package.
The Low-Profile dc Electronic Load (LPL Series) is offered in 4 power
ratings -- 150W/300W/600W/800W. The voltage and current ratings can be
custom-tailored from 0 ~ 800Vdc/100Adc, providing AMREL's customers
flexibility. In-rack closed calibration saves the repeated calibration
costs of outsourcing to 3rd party labs, maximizing ROI by allowing internal
metrology labs to calibrate. The LPL meets future demands -- firmware can
be field upgraded within 5 minutes and Ethernet/USB option within seconds
without ever moving the unit. Ensuring the LPL is always the latest and
greatest. Reliability and maximized uptime is achieved with LPL's
proprietary redundant over-temperature and fast-response over-power
protection, and power stage failure isolation. This ensures the LPL is
protected against hazardous operating conditions. The LPL is
field-upgradeable, maximizes your ROI and uptime, and provides the
flexibility to meet diverse test demands.
The LPL's ideal for ATE environments, providing standard LabVIEW/
LabWindows Drivers, SCPI command set, GPIB/RS-232/USB/Ethernet Interfaces
and system-level capabilities such as remote inhibit interlock, fault
indication signal, isolated or non-isolated 0~10Vdc analog programming and
Imonitor/Vmonitor. For bench-top needs, the LPL provides four 32-step
profiles for test automation, intuitive keypad and encoder control and
user-friendly virtual panel. The VFD display provides 16-bit resolution
equivalent to a 5-digit DMM. PLC and DAQ systems can utilize the LPL's
0~10Vdc analog programming, external on/off control, and external CV/CC
mode selection. Options include reverse polarity relay/isolation and
ultra-low current range, to meet both high and low current demands with
precision and accuracy.
LPL will be on display at AeroTest America -- AMREL booth #1122.
