About Samarian Partners' "Keeper of the Pinstripes":

Samarian Productions, a division of Samarian Partners, is executive producing the upcoming film tentatively titled "Keeper of the Pinstripes."

Robby Benson is in line to direct this family film, in which Josh Lucas will portray legendary NY Yankee Thurman Munson. Other iconic former players that appear in the film include Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Bernie Williams and Darryl Strawberry have also agreed to roles.

Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of the reawakening of "Room 107," a mysterious room hidden within the depths of Yankee Stadium where some of baseball's greatest heroes would find solace. The Tom Ellis/Shawn Powell-written script is based on the New York Times Best Seller, "The Boy of Steel," by Ray Negron.

Filming on the private-equity funded film will take place in New York City with a tentative start date of spring 2009. For more information, please visit http://www.samarianpartners.com/pressroom.html
