Cryptzone AB has today written a Memorandum of Understanding with Avira GmbH.



Gothenburg, December 11, 2008 - Cryptzone and Avira have initiated a
negotiation regarding Avira to become the majority shareholder of
Cryptzone.

Both Cryptzone and Avira can see a number of potential synergies of a
joint market approach. The technologies are complementary as well as
the served customer segments. Avira would benefit from Cryptzone's
expertise and products in the area of encryption and email security,
as well as Cryptzone's sales channels into larger organizations and
the government sector. Cryptzone will also be a contributor to
Avira's future product portfolio.
The joint product portfolio will be one of the best offered solutions
on the global market.

The goal is for the negotiation to be finished no later than the 31st
