Brunnthal/Munich, December 19, 2008 - Today the Supervisory Board of SFC
Smart Fuel Cell AG has extended the appointment and the contract of the
management board member Dr Peter Podesser until December 31, 2011.

Peter Podesser who has been Chief Executive Officer of SFC Smart Fuel Cell
AG since November 2006 continues in his responsibilities for the segments
Strategic Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR and Communication.
