West Siberian Resources appoints Angelika Adieva as new Chief Financial Officer

West Siberian Resources Ltd has appointed Angelika Adieva as new Chief Financial
Officer.                                                                        

Miss Adieva's previous experience includes international oil and gas investment 
banking, and downstream and upstream project management. Prior to joining West  
Siberian Resources' management team in 2008, Miss Adieva most recently held a   
management position in the European Energy and Power Investment Banking team at 
Merrill Lynch International in London.                                          

Miss Adieva holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Institute of         
Practical Oriental Studies in Moscow and an MBA from McCombs School of Business 
at the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Finance and        
specialization in Energy Finance.

knowledge as well as many years of oil and gas industry experience,” says Arsen

Miss Adieva will assume her new position on January 1, 2009 and succeeds        
Ekaterina Sapozhnikova, who leaves the company after four years as CFO to pursue
opportunities outside of West Siberian Resources.
