About the Author
Author Jane Lowrey-Christian grew up on a farm in the Thirties and Forties, living a lot like Amish boys and girls do now. Her first book Budgie and Sissy's Adventure, Growing up in North Missouri tells about her childhood in stories told from the viewpoint of the author as a young girl. Jane Lowrey-Christian and her husband of two years, Harold Christian, live in Princeton, Missouri. Jane has five children, nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Jane enjoys her home, her piano, sketching and drawing, and visiting her family. The need to put her memories down on paper came after losing her parents and brothers. Her love for her family inspired the children's fantasy, The Quackless Duck Series. She always thought of writing, but the time never came -- until now.
