Power Integrations Mourns Passing of Board Member Scott Brown


SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Power Integrations (Nasdaq:POWI) today announced the passing of R. Scott Brown, a member of the company's board of directors since 1999. Mr. Brown died on Monday in Los Gatos, California.

Prior to joining the board of Power Integrations, Mr. Brown was vice president of worldwide sales at Xilinx, Inc., where he served from 1985 until his retirement in 1999. Earlier in his career he held a number of sales positions at National Semiconductor in the semiconductor and consumer products areas.
