MALIBU, Calif., Jan. 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Empire Film Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EFGU) (http://www.empirefilmgroup.com) has entered into a programming arrangement with My Family Television Network to supply programming for broadcast in 2009 and 2010. Under this arrangement, Empire will supply ten hours of programming per week of movies and television shows beginning in the third quarter of 2009. Empire will provide content for this arrangement from current titles in Empire's library and from future content that the Company will produce and acquire for licensing.
Both companies plan to announce the slate of shows at the NATPE convention in Las Vegas January 26 - 29, 2009.
My Family TV has a library of over 800 titles and other assets with plans to triple the network's size in the next one to two years by expanding its markets to include New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington DC, Houston and Detroit. Commencing on December 15, 2008, the network is currently transmitting nationwide 24 hours a day in 17 million homes via 65 broadcast stations and Sky Angel IPTV. Over the next two years, the company will actively be building the network to reach its potential of 50 million homes. The network's programming will be family oriented and will feature both movies and television shows.
Empire owns or controls a library of more than 170 titles, over half of which are currently in release.
