The Færch Foundation to become major shareholder in Bang & Olufsen a/s

With effect from today's date, the Færch Foundation, Lille Østergade 8 A,
Holstebro, has acquired 616,000 B shares in Bang & Olufsen a/s, which equates
to 5.1 per cent of the share capital and 2.8 per cent of the voting rights. 

The Færch Foundation also intends to subscribe to a similar share in the
forthcoming share issue which Bang & Olufsen announced in connection with the
publication of the interim accounts of 15 January 2009. 

The shares acquired by the Færch Foundation are part of Bang & Olufsen's own
shares. Subsequent to the transaction, Bang & Olufsen's portfolio of own shares
will comprise: 
A shares:          200
B shares:      109,876
