New Mexico Energy Credit Union Deploys Code Green DLP Solution
Ease of Deployment, Ease of Management, Pricing Were Key Factors in Decision

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - January 26, 2009) - Code Green Networks, the
leader in comprehensive data loss prevention (DLP) solutions that can be
deployed quickly and cost-effectively, today announced that New Mexico
Energy Federal Credit Union in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has deployed the Code
Green CI-750 Content Inspection Appliance to protect its network
against data loss.
The New Mexico Energy Federal Credit Union serves employees and families
who work for the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security
Administration at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. In an ongoing
effort to protect its sensitive information, the institution's security
staff had been looking for solutions that could provide DLP along with
e-mail encryption. Code Green's CI-750 appliance delivered on both counts,
and at an appropriate price.
"We knew that DLP would give us extra protection against accidental data
loss, but most of the products we looked at were far too expensive and
complex," said Richard Lipari, information technology officer at New Mexico
Energy Federal Credit Union. "Code Green offered us a solution that did all
the things we wanted at a fraction of the cost of the other systems."
As deployed in November 2008, the CI-750 appliance inspects content moving
over the network as well as at network endpoints. Based on policies created
by the credit union, the CI-750 appliance and CI Agent endpoint software
blocks unauthorized transfers of sensitive data and encrypts sensitive data
being sent via the credit union's corporate e-mail system. The credit
union's CI-750 appliance integrates with cloud-based e-mail encryption key
servers from Cisco Systems.
"There are thousands of companies like New Mexico Energy Federal Credit
Union that work with sensitive financial, healthcare, and other types of
information, and yet don't have the IT staff or other resources to spend
hundreds of thousands of dollars on a DLP solution," said Rod Murchison,
vice president of marketing and strategic alliances at Code Green Networks.
"Our solutions are designed to deliver complete, robust DLP protection in a
cost-effective, easily-deployable package for these smaller firms, as well
as to scale up to enterprise-class capabilities if needed."
Code Green Networks' Content Inspection appliances and Content Inspection
agents offer an all-in-one solution that inspects and protects secure
content on the network, in storage, and at network endpoints, and includes
built-in e-mail encryption that integrates from leading encryption servers
from Cisco, Voltage, and Zix. With all-in-one design and robust content
inspection capabilities, Code Green's DLP solutions can be deployed and in
operation within hours, offering customers a total cost of ownership less
than half that of competing solutions.
