27.01.2009  OnVista AG (DE0005461602) today presented its preliminary
figures for the financial year 2008. Sales in the continued business
segments reached EUR 11.15 million (2007: EUR 13.99 mill.). The earnings
performance in the period under review was affected by two special effects.
The annual impairment test gave rise to a special write-off at the
financial community tradingbird.de totalling EUR 1.50 million. On the other
hand, expenditure arising from the media volume settled as purchase
consideration in connection with the sale of Ad2Net GmbH resulted in a
negative profit contribution in the amount of EUR 0.40 million. Against the
background of these special non-cash effects, EBIT amounted to EUR -0.51
million compared to EUR 4.96 in the previous year. The pre-tax income (EBT)
stood at EUR 0.57 million (2007: EUR 5.45 mill.) Net income in the
continued business segments amounted to EUR 0.37 million after EUR 2.88
million in the previous year. At group level, on the other hand, net income
for the financial year 2008 reached EUR 16.24 million (2007: EUR 2.86
mill.) in particular as a result of the sale of the former subsidiary
Ligatus GmbH.
