NEW YORK, March 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of PIMCO Municipal Advantage Fund Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE:MAF), a closed-end management investment company which seeks a high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes, announced today that it has declared a dividend of $0.06 cents per common share.
The dividends will be payable on April 1, 2009 to shareholders of record on March 12, 2009, with an ex-dividend date of March 10, 2009.
At February 27, 2009, the Fund's net assets were $124.3 million (inclusive of market value of Preferred Stock of $55 million).
