The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) is a non-profit international organization of manufacturers, system integrators, developers, vendors, industry professionals and end users committed to delivering a broad base of Fibre Channel infrastructure technology to support a wide array of applications within the mass storage and IT-based arenas.

The presentation will discuss how Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) combined with enhancements to Ethernet will allow you to consolidate your server I/O and simply network infrastructure, saving both capital and operational expenses. Fibre Channel over Ethernet and the enhancements being made to Ethernet will be explained, and the different deployment scenarios will be discussed as well as comparisons to existing technologies such as iSCSI and InfiniBand. In addition to the presentation, the FCIA will also be hosting a booth where the latest information about Fibre Channel will be displayed including the upcoming FCoE standard.
