DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - March 26, 2009) - Global Clean Energy Inc. (
In conjunction with this expanded corporate direction, GCE will be relocating its corporate headquarters to Houston, Texas. The US home of energy development, Houston has committed to assist and promote corporations in the field of renewable energy. The city is in the early stages of developing a renewable energy park where companies can showcase their technologies and GCE intends to participate in that effort.
GCE is in the final stages of development plans for the growing and utilizing of algae and jatropha as a renewable feedstock which can be converted efficiently into biofuel by our proprietary gasifier. Large scale undeveloped sites, suitable for the production of our home-grown fuel, are being negotiated in Texas.
GCE entered into a Memorandum of Agreement on March 18, 2009 to conduct joint research projects with the Faculty of Engineering of Concordia University, Montreal, Qc. Research includes enhancement of our proprietary Airpump™ cyclonic dredging pump, with Dr. George Vatistas, one of the world leading scientists in Vortex theory.
GCE has received attention from both local and international communities interested in gasification as a waste management solution and as an alternative source of energy supply. GCE anticipates entering into contracts to develop and operate gasification plants by the end of the 2nd quarter 2010.
With on-going research and development of proprietary technologies for waste recovery and clean-coal gasification, entering into large scale biofuel production is a major step forward into fulfilling GCE's mission of being a fully integrated renewable Energy company, creating new jobs and new sources of sustained economic development within the State of Texas and the continental United States.
Global Clean Energy is a green, clean, renewable energy company, focused on acquiring, recovering, and processing environmental waste into usable sources of energy, processing and growing algae and jatropha into biomass fuel. What began seven years ago as a venture to investigate the potential of cleanly processing organic waste into synthetic fuel has led to the development of proprietary technologies and partnerships with world leaders such as UK Coal, Cascades Engineering and Projects, and Concordia University.
