Lysaker, 1 April 2009 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Norwegian power prices above continental prices Power prices in Germany and Holland where lower than in both Norwegian elspot areas in week 13. The financial crises has contributes to falling world market fuel prices this year, and made for lower production costs in thermal power units. As a consequence, prices in Germany and Holland have fallen since the turn of 2008/2009. There has not been the same fall in Nordic power prices. This can be seen in relation to low Nordic reservoir levels. The aggregated Nordic reservoir level is now 10.4 TWh below normal. The Norwegian reservoir level was 32.2 percent at the end of week 12. During the week the level decreased by 2.6 percentage points and is now 7.3 percentage points below normal level. The Swedish reservoir level is 14.6 percentage points below normal. http://www.statnett.no Prognosis from Statnett>> ------------------------------- Contact person at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate: Marit L.
