Secure Passage Names Security Industry Veteran Jody Brazil as Its President and CTO

In his new role, the veteran security industry pioneer, innovator and entrepreneur will take the lead on setting policy and strategic direction for Secure Passage to ensure the company's continued success as it navigates through a period of accelerated growth, rapidly increasing global demand for its flagship FireMon solution, and continual change in the security solutions market.

In 1997, while CTO of FishNet Security, Brazil invented the market for network security device change monitoring in response to a major telecommunications customer's network outage problems. After identifying that an unauthorized firewall configuration change was to blame for the outage, Brazil engineered an application that automatically monitored and alerted IT administrators when unauthorized changes occurred. By 2001, the application emerged as FireMon, the industry's first configuration change monitoring solution. In 2004, Fish and Brazil started Secure Passage to continue development and marketing of FireMon, and FireMon continues to be the most sought after automated security analysis and compliance solution available.

A few of Brazil's major accomplishments include: implementing the first load-balanced deployment of Check Point firewall software in 1997, and engineering the security solution that allowed the transfer of criminal history data over the Internet for the first time, as approved by the FBI. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in physics from Kansas State University.
