BROOKLYN, NY--(Marketwire - April 7, 2009) - Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ : DCOM )

its earnings for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 prior to the opening of
the U.S. equity markets on Wednesday, April 29, 2009.
