ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - April 13, 2009) - Holly A. Pierson, formerly a Partner with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, has joined Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP as Of Counsel in the firm's Atlanta office. Ms. Pierson's practice is focused on special litigation, which includes healthcare fraud, whistleblower actions, identity theft, mortgage fraud, environmental issues, and public corruption as well as internal investigations and white collar defense.

Ms. Pierson brings extensive support to the firm's Healthcare practice. She previously served the private healthcare sector as a healthcare litigation and regulatory attorney at two large Atlanta firms, and she served in the public sector as a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Healthcare Fraud Division of the U.S. Attorneys Office and as a Criminal Healthcare Coordinator during her tenure as a federal prosecutor in Charlotte, North Carolina.
