Harnessing the Body's Healing Powers -- New Book On How to Use Macrobiotic Principles for Health and Well-Being

CARSON CITY, Nev., April 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Are there days when you feel you have virtually no energy? Do you get sick or have chronic illnesses where drugs have little or no effect? Are you looking for a more holistic approach to getting well and maintaining your health? Then be surprised to know that the knowledge you are looking for has been with you all this time - it is, in fact, in your body. Learn how to read the signs and understand what your body is telling you with Kaare Bursell's The End of Medicine.

The philosopher Nietzsche once said, "The wisdom in your body is deeper than your deepest philosophy." Author Kaare Bursell has been on a quest for this knowledge since his teenage years when he sought to understand two important questions, "What is disease?" and "What does disease signify?" In 1975, he began living and eating according to macrobiotic principles. In 1982, he discovered the work of Rudolf Steiner and, as he began to study his lectures and books, the answers were revealed. The End of Medicine is the result of over forty years of study, experience, and learning working with thousands of individuals. The contents of the book describe how and why illnesses develop and make an important distinction between illness, disease, and health.

The crucial significance of the digestive processes of assimilation and elimination in the onset of illnesses and recovery of health are described in detail. It subscribes to Steiner's view that, "...a system of medicine must always take the metabolic system, the normal processes of digestion, as its point of departure, and starting from there it must deduce how internal illnesses in the widest possible sense can arise from the metabolism."

The End of Medicine presents refreshingly new knowledge about how your body, the human organism, "knows" how to heal itself - without recourse to drugs, radiation, genetic therapy, supplements, "new age super-foods," nutraceuticals, regenerative medicine, and the like.
