FOX Selects Cisco Digital Stream Processing to Complete Transition to Digital Broadcasting and Support Network Affiliates

Equipment and Systems Provided by Cisco Offer Flexibility to Distribute and Splice National Digital Programming Into Local Content


SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - April 22, 2009) - Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) announced today that the Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) is updating its national broadcast affiliate network by deploying the Cisco® Digital Content Manager (DCM) at its main Los Angeles location (FNC - LA) and at approximately 200 FOX affiliate stations across the United States. The Cisco ROSA® Network Management and Element Manager (EM) systems and the Cisco DCMs will help enable seamless switching (MPEG splicing) between local and national program feeds.
